I created a blog from papers I wrote in college. As a simple way of protesting the non existent material about disability in literally every single program, I linked all of my assignments to disability.

I then created a consulting company from the research.

I have since spoken to Doctors, Pain Fellows and workplaces sharing my writing and experience of pain.

From the concrete, a small sprout makes its way through.

THOUGHTS ON DISABILITY

ABOUT ME

Disability Advocacy, Social Organizational Psychology

This blog is a culmination of research papers I've written for school over the years. At the university I went to, there were no disability studies classes. I found a way to link the topic of each class to a disability studies related topic and thus taught that disability should be more mainstream than it is since it intersects with literally everything.

Susan Wendell added a new conceptual theory to disability studies which has informed many of my papers moving forward in life. Toward a Feminist Theory of Disability is insightful with a beautiful balance of both academic and conversational style. Her contribution is my pick of the month.
